“Give it to Meg” was coined in the summer of 1996 when I started my first writing business at the age of 10
Even as a kid, I knew that most adults could explain things out loud but struggled to express themselves on paper — so I started out helping my parents and neighbors. I would write cover letters, talking points, memos, resignation letters, breakup letters, lyrics — anything.
This went on for years. My parents were never exactly sure why I always had cash on hand, but chocolate bars and horror movies do not pay for themselves, people!
Writing has always been my superpower
I’m a grad school dropout who ditched analyzing crime scenes to write processes and procedures for a sprawling NYC non-profit and never looked back.
My love for problem solving and data analysis pushed me into marketing and fundraising roles in CRM data analysis and management. My boss discovered that I had been habitually but quietly rewriting email and ad copy and insisting on running A/B email tests. Ever since that moment, I’ve been a marketing and communications professional.
I cut my teeth managing crisis PR for the largest human services non-profit in NYC and co-managed the launch of an extensive multi-year rebranding initiative. I went on to oversee the day-to-day management of employee communications for the largest municipal health care system in the country and helped them rebrand each of the 11 hospitals before launching my own writing business. I am a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany.
Quick facts about Meg:

· You can’t tell that I’m from New York until I’m angry or forced to say “radiator.”
· I spend most of my free time dreaming up TV comedy pilots with strong female leads.
